This position will report to the Cloud Engineering team. In this Cloud Engineer role, you will be part of a talented team responsible for building scalable, secure, and highly available Cloud based Services within our Hybrid based platform-as-a-service (PaaS), while also gaining experience and getting exposure to many other open-source products as required. Your primary responsibilities will be to develop technical solutions to enhance the American Express Cloud platform, with a focus on building automation for highly scalable cloud services delivery.
Collaborate with the rest of the API engineering team, the UI engineering team, quality engineering team and product management to build scalable high performance quality API and Orchestration solutions. Research and apply recent technology and libraries that enable lean product development. Implement API/Middleware solutions which integrates with NSQL, platforms, partners systems Implement the best software practices that produce maintainable code, including usability patterns, code style conformity, integration, unit testing, and code review.
Take pride in developing working software with a willingness to learn new technologies Minimum Qualifications Experience with Cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Private Cloud) Experience in developing REST APIs using Google's GoLang and/or Java. Experience with Cloud Engineering, CI/CD, Kubernetes, Openshift, Docker etc. Standout colleague.
Good communication skills. Experience with NSQL databases Familiar with agile application development methods. Understanding of QE processes in general.
Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent Familiar with agile application development methods. Understanding of QE processes in general. Salary Range: $70,000.00 to $135,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition.
