About the Opportunity:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Cloud Engineer to join our team. The Cloud Engineer (AVD) will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing virtual desktop environments within the Microsoft Azure cloud platform. This role requires expertise in cloud infrastructure, virtual desktop solutions, and a deep understanding of Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud engineering, exceptional problem-solving skills, and relevant Microsoft certifications.
Responsibilities:
Design, deploy, and manage virtual desktop environments on the Microsoft Azure cloud platform.
Collaborate with IT and development teams to ensure seamless integration of virtual desktops with existing systems and applications.
Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Monitor and optimise the performance, reliability, and scalability of virtual desktop environments.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to virtual desktop infrastructure and user experience.
Create and maintain documentation for virtual desktop architecture, configurations, and procedures.
Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in cloud computing and virtual desktop technologies.
Manage the migration of existing virtual environments to Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD).
About You:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in cloud engineering and virtual desktop environments, particularly within Microsoft Azure.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure services, including Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD).
Experience with scripting and automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, ARM templates).
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Relevant Microsoft certifications, such as:
Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate
Eligibility:
This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance to a NV1 level. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
