The Cloud Platforms technology area is part of our Cloud, Datacentre and Infrastructure Services Domain and is responsible for building and operating our cloud platforms on AWS. As a Cloud Engineer, you will play a vital role in designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and secure cloud solutions that drive innovation and enhance customer experiences.
You will have a relentless focus on automation and applying best practices in CI/CD and infrastructure automation within the AWS ecosystem. Your deep understanding of AWS services, architectures, and solutions will enable you to effectively contribute to the success of our cloud estate. Experience with AWS networking, serverless computing, containerization, and server provisioning will be highly valued.

Work in a collaborative team to explore business initiatives and solutions
Build infrastructure using code and follow software engineering best practices
Utilise knowledge of distributed system design including cloud scalability, communication integration, database, and storage
Challenge the status quo, whilst always looking for opportunities for continuous improvement

What will you bring?
Expertise in building and operating cloud solutions on the AWS , GCP platform.
Strong knowledge of AWS services, architectures, and best practices.
Experience with AWS networking, server less computing, containerization, and server provisioning.
Proficiency in scripting and coding languages, such as Python or GoLang.
Demonstrated experience in CI/CD practices and tools, including Bamboo, Terraform, Codefresh, and Jenkins.
Familiarity with SCM tools such as GitHub and Bitbucket.
Proficiency in deploying and managing infrastructure using tools like Puppet, Chef, and Ansible.
Knowledge of virtualization technologies like Docker, Containers, and Kubernetes.
Familiarity with ticketing tools like ServiceNow.
Proven experience in building and operating cloud technology at scale.
5+ years of experience in Cloud technology, with a strong emphasis on AWS.
Comfortable working within cross-functional, agile, or continuous delivery teams.
