Job Description
• University degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in cloud technologies
• Experience working with AWS Cloud data platform.
• Managing EC2, Elastic Kubernetes Service (Amazon EKS), AWS Code Pipeline/ Code Deploy, Cloud Front, Cloud Watch, Glue, Batch, Lambda, FSx, API Gateway, VPC, S3, and other key AWS components services on a day-to-day basis.
• Experience with EMR, Redshift and/or Kinesis would be nice to have.
• Experience with IaC (Terraform, Cloud Formation)
• Experience in automation, specifically related to deployment, recovery, or other manual processes. Sound knowledge of CI workflows and build/test/deploy automation.
• Strong problem-solving skills and passion for solving hard problems as part of a team and by individual investigation. Experience using telemetry to understand throughput, limitations, and constraints in a service
• Highly proficient with Unix/Linux/Windows operating systems
• Experience with Python/Boto3, Bash, and or PowerShell Plus
• Proactive, self-starter with strong detail orientation is critical in this role.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Good organizational and time management skills
• Willingness to learn the concepts of Machine Learning and contribute to those initiatives.
• Willingness to learn AWS Sagemaker
Nice To Have Skills
• Experience working on projects related to Life Sciences or Pharmaceutical business.
• Experience or inclination to learn new technologies like Snowflake (https://www.snowflake.com/en/).
• AWS Certification
Key Responsibilities
• Design, automate and manage a highly available and scalable cloud deployment that allows development teams to deploy and run their services.
• Extensively automated deployments and managed applications on AWS
• Interact with internal business stakeholders, engineering and data science teams to develop systems that focus on scalability, high-performance and security.
• Manage and prioritize backlog of incidents assigned to you.
• Perform root cause analysis on issues that lead to the implementation of processes to prevent repetitive problems.
• Monitor automated system alerts, log files, and other monitoring tool outputs to ensure the continuous and smooth running of data lake.
• Optimize through automation. You will eliminate manual, repetitive, tactical solutions with no enduring value. You will implement automation for a more sustained and scalable solution, services, and processes, contributing to the continuous improvement of all operations to efficiently manage and maintain deployments.
• Build end-to-end documentation to ensure visibility and resiliency throughout the system.
• Accountable for determining and implementing specific software and cloud technologies.
