Role: Cloud Security Expert
Experience Range – 5 to 8 Years
Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Azure Cloud Security Expert to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud security best practices, with specific expertise in securing Microsoft Azure environments. As an Azure Cloud Security Expert, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust security measures to protect our cloud infrastructure, applications, and data assets. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance, mitigate risks, and respond effectively to security incidents.
Qualifications:
• Experience: A minimum of 5-8 years of overall IT industry experience is required.
• Cloud Infrastructure: Proven experience in designing, building, and managing cloud infrastructure, preferably on platforms like Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
• Education: A Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent work experience can be considered.
• Azure Certifications: Extensive experience in securing Microsoft Azure environments, including Azure certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate.
• Azure Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of Azure security services, tools, and capabilities, as well as a strong understanding of cloud security frameworks, standards, and compliance requirements.
• Security Tools: Experience with security assessment tools, vulnerability management, and penetration testing in Azure environments.
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Azure Security Architecture: Design and implement comprehensive security architectures for Azure environments, ensuring they are secure, compliant, and resilient against cyber threats. Secure Azure services like Virtual Machines, App Services, Kubernetes Service, and SQL Database.
• Identity and Access Management: Implement Azure Active Directory and Azure Identity and Access Management solutions to manage user identities, roles, and access permissions. Configure Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and Conditional Access policies for enhanced security.
• Network Security: Design and configure Azure Virtual Networks, Network Security Groups (NSG), and Azure Firewall to create secure network boundaries. Implement Azure DDoS Protection and network security monitoring tools to detect and respond to network attacks.
• Data Security: Implement encryption solutions for data at rest and data in transit using Azure Key Vault and Azure Information Protection. Configure and monitor Azure Security Center and Azure Sentinel for threat detection, analysis, and response.
• Compliance and Governance: Ensure Azure resources and configurations comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies. Implement Azure Policy and Azure Blueprints for governance and compliance automation.
• Security Incident Response: Develop and maintain incident response plans specific to Azure environments. Lead investigations into security incidents, coordinate with stakeholders, and implement remediation measures.
• Security Training and Awareness: Provide security training and awareness programs for employees and stakeholders to promote a security-conscious culture. Stay updated with the latest Azure security features, vulnerabilities, and best practices.
Technical Skills:
• Azure Security Services: Azure Active Directory, Azure Security Center, Azure Key Vault, Azure Information Protection, Azure Firewall, Azure DDoS Protection.
• Network Security: Azure Virtual Networks, Azure VPN Gateway, Azure ExpressRoute.
• Identity and Access Management (IAM): Azure Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), Azure Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Azure Conditional Access.
• Compliance and Governance: Azure Policy, Azure Blueprints, Azure Resource Graph.
• Security Monitoring and Incident Response: Azure Monitor, Azure Sentinel, Incident Response.
• Encryption and Data Protection: Azure Disk Encryption, SSL/TLS Certificates, Data Encryption.
