Job Description
You will act as the technical architect and "boots-on-the-ground" developer, responsible for auditing our current implementation, identifying data leakage or compliance risks, and executing a roadmap for optimization. You must be comfortable working independently and making high-stakes technical recommendations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Audit & Optimization
• Current State Review: Perform a comprehensive audit of existing Adobe Analytics (SDR, variables, processing rules) and Adobe Target activities.
• Optimization Roadmap: Identify "technical debt" in the current tagging structure and provide a prioritized plan to improve data fidelity and site performance.
• Security & Compliance: Configure and maintain cookie consent workflows, tag firing rules, and opt-in/opt-out logic within Adobe Analytics and Adobe Target to align with GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and ePrivacy requirements, including integration with the company's CMP
• Conduct periodic privacy audits of Adobe implementations to identify consent drift, unauthorized data collection, or misfiring tags, and collaborate with legal/privacy teams on compliant approaches to analytics tracking and personalization
2. Technical Implementation & Development
• Adobe Target Dev: Act as the primary developer for Target. This includes writing custom JavaScript, CSS, and HTML to execute complex A/B tests and personalization experiences that the Visual Experience Composer (VEC) cannot handle.
• Tag Management: Manage the end-to-end deployment of tags via Adobe Launch (AEP Data Collection), ensuring minimal impact on page load speeds.
• Server-Side Tracking: Explore and implement server-side tracking (AEP Web SDK) to bypass browser restrictions and enhance security.
3. Data Governance & Security
• Documentation: Maintain the Solution Design Reference (SDR) and technical playbooks to ensure "Zero Trust" principles are applied to marketing data.
• Implement and manage Adobe Analytics Data Governance labels (DULE), IP obfuscation, data retention settings, and cookie/tracking technology inventories to support data minimization and privacy compliance obligations
Required Technical Skills & Qualifications
• 7+ Years of Experience: Proven track record in digital analytics and optimization, specifically within large-scale IT or Security-focused organizations.
• Adobe Expert: Mastery of Adobe Analytics (Analysis Workspace, Report Builder) and Adobe Target (Premium features, Recommendations, Automated Personalization).
• Frontend Development: Expert-level JavaScript (ES6+) is non-negotiable. You must be able to code your own solutions within the Adobe stack.
• Independence: Ability to take a business problem and turn it into a technical solution with minimal supervision.
• Communication: Ability to explain complex data privacy risks (like "data selling" or "pixel scraping") to non-technical marketing stakeholders.
Experience with Security Standards Given our domain in Security, the ideal candidate will have experience with:
• Content Security Policy (CSP) management.
• Privacy-first tracking (Cookieless environments).
• Working within IT Change Management (Jira/ServiceNow) to ensure all pixel changes are vetted by InfoSec.
Preferred Qualifications
• Must Have Adobe Certified Expert (ACE) - Analytics Architect or Target Developer.
• Nice to Have Experience in the Cybersecurity or Fintech industry.
• Familiarity with the Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) and Web SDK
