Afternoon Shift Machinist – CNC Programmer/Setup
3:20pm- 1:50am Monday to Thursday
Location: Edmonton
A high-precision CNC manufacturing facility is seeking a skilled Machinist for our afternoon/night shift. This role requires someone who can program, set up, and operate CNC machines independently while producing quality parts to tight tolerances.
Key Responsibilities
Program and set up CNC lathes and mills (Mazak, Doosan, Siemens, and/or Fanuc controls).
Work from blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD models to produce precision components.
Select tooling, set offsets, and optimize machining processes.
Perform quality checks using precision measuring instruments.
Troubleshoot machining issues and maintain production efficiency.
Work independently with minimal supervision to meet deadlines.
Skills & Qualifications
Strong CNC programming and setup experience (both lathe and mill preferred).
Proficiency with Mazak (Mazatrol), Siemens, or Fanuc controls.
Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and GD&T.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks during a shift.
