Job Description
Position Synopsis:
Reporting to the Laboratory Manager, the position requirements include but are not limited to:
Ensuring that all work is carried out in a safe and efficient manner and to agreed standard operating instructions
Ensuring that all work complies with national and international standards
Checking and validating all results to ensure that they are within repeatability tolerances
Transfer validated results into the reporting system
Maintain the laboratory and its equipment according to company standards
A range of physical tests including sample preparation, crushing, dividing and sample storage
Requirements:
Full training will be provided to the successful candidates. However, to be considered for this position you will have:
A strong focus on safety, quality and team work
Good grasp of computers/technology
Ability to multi task and meet tight deadlines
Comfortable with manual handling duties, including repetitive lifting
Eagerness to learn and adapt to new systems
A valid forklift license is desirable
Previous industry experience would be seen as an advantage
12 hour day or night shifts may be required
