As the Coastal Catchments Manager, you will:
Lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of work programmes across the Tauranga Moana, Kaituna, Ōhiwa and Eastern catchments.
Oversee programme management across the Coastal Catchments team, ensuring delivery on time, within budget and to a high standard.
Ensure the successful delivery of key land management and biodiversity outcomes in our Long-Term Plan.
Lead a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, continuous improvement, and strong alignment with Council values.
Maintain strong relationships with iwi, hapū, local authorities, industry partners, community groups, catchment and care groups and co-governance entities.
Represent Council at hui, community forums, advisory groups, public meetings and regional partnerships.

We’re looking for someone who brings:
A tertiary degree in a Natural Resource related field
Proven leadership experience and a deep understanding of rural land management, biodiversity, and natural resources.
Strong people leadership skills, including demonstrating effective leadership of large teams delivering complex programmes.
Sound relationship management skills to build trust and maintain programme partnerships with other agencies, Iwi and industry.
A strategic mindset and the ability to lead complex programmes delivering measurable outcomes.
Excellent analytical, communication, and project management abilities.
