We are seeking an experienced COBOL Developer to join our team and contribute to the development and maintenance of mission-critical financial systems. The ideal candidate should have expertise in COBOL programming, the OMNI platform , and preferably experience in financial services.
Key Responsibilities: Develop, maintain, and enhance COBOL applications, ensuring system efficiency and reliability. Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand requirements and implement solutions. Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize existing COBOL code for performance improvements. Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements in financial services. Participate in software upgrades, testing, and deployments. Document technical specifications, system designs, and maintenance procedures.
Required Skills & Experience: 5+ years of experience in COBOL programming with enterprise applications. Experience with the OMNI platform is highly preferred. Background in financial services is a strong plus. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience with batch processing and transaction processing systems. Familiarity with integration between COBOL applications and modern APIs is a plus. Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Experience with financial compliance and regulatory standards. Knowledge of modern development methodologies, including Agile/Scrum.
