We offer beginner-friendly programming courses, STEM and logo and robotics courses tailored to students in Grades 1–8.
We are seeking an enthusiastic, reliable, and engaging Coding Teacher to teach students using Scratch, Python, introductory Web Development, and beginner/intermediate LEGO® robotics and coding activities focused on programming motorized and interactive projects. You will be provided with a comprehensive curriculum and ready-to-use teaching materials for every class. Your role is to make coding and technology learning fun, accessible, and impactful — supporting each student’s learning journey.
Job Type:
Part-time
Location: Livingston, NJ (In-person)
Expected Hours: 9–12 hours per week
Responsibilities:
Teach coding classes using Scratch, Python, and Web Development basics
Teach beginner/intermediate LEGO® robotics and coding activities focused on programming motorized and interactive projects
Deliver lessons using provided curriculum and resources—no lesson planning required
Create a supportive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
Adapt teaching methods to accommodate various learning styles and skill levels
Encourage project-based learning and help students present their work
Communicate with parents as needed regarding student progress and engagement
Requirements:
Comfortable working with children aged 7–14 years
Proficient in Scratch and Python; familiarity with HTML/CSS/JS is a plus
Excellent communication and classroom management skills
Passionate about technology and education
Organized, dependable, and professional
Able to manage and support small-group instruction (up to 5 students)
Prior teaching experience is a plus, but not required—new graduates are welcome
Experience with LEGO Education tools/platforms, beginner robotics programs, STEM activities, or participation in programs such as FIRST LEGO League (FLL) is highly preferred
Availability Required:
Tuesday: 4:30 PM – 7:30 PM
Thursday: 4:30 PM – 7:30 PM
Saturday: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Summer day camp sessions (July 13 to Aug-07)
