Description

The Production Manager’s role is to effectively run a handloom spinning & weaving production center

Key Responsibilities will include -

1. Technical Skills

Detailed understanding of various components of handloom
Understanding of a range of technical issues that can arise during handloom operations and their remedies
Ability to draw graphs based on design requirements
Ability to implement graphs through various techniques such as multi-shafts, jala booti, dobby, jacquard etc.
2. The production manager prepares the order plan and order sheet with the senior authorities.

3. Prepare break up the textile production plans – weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis or on the basis of order timeline.

4. Manage raw material, prepare purchase plan with the purchase team. Maintain material status against each order and monitor the progress of material received.

5. Understand the details of an approved sample / swatch card against the order sheet from business development or sales team.

6. Ensure that the production plan is properly balanced for target output.

7. Coordinate with the quality manager so that defective or faulty goods are kept out and not produced in future.

8. Provide job assignments to supervisors and other subordinates.

9. Ensure that the floor, machinery, toilet, dining spaces is neat and clean.

10. Ensure that all work stations are properly illuminated.

11. Arrange for continuous training of helpers and operators.

12. Prepare pre-production samples and compare them with the originally approved sample.

13. Ensure the right work, quality, and maintenance standards.

14. Arrange proper documentation of all the activities on the floor.

15. Ensures that a congenial atmosphere exists on the floor.

16. Performance evaluation of the subordinates.

17. Make arrangements for the right line layout or machine layout.

18. As a leader, inspire unit employees for better work and align them with vision snd philosophy of the organization

19. He ensures that all the machinery is equipped with protective devices.

20. Organizes pre-production meetings with the team to discuss activities and possible issues.

21. Approve the commencement of production against a work order.

22. Monitor the progress of production against the production plan.

23. Takes countermeasures if the progress of textile production is not satisfactory.

24. Coordinate with all the concerns so that textile production progresses as per plan.

25. Responsible for ensuring discipline on the floor.

26. Take care of the worker’s safety and welfare.

27. He makes the best efforts to create a congenial work environment which is called a “win-win situation”.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: ₹144,000.00 - ₹240,000.00 per year
