Job Title: Collection Manager
Job Overview: The Collection Manager will be responsible for overseeing the overall collection operations of the company. The manager will work closely with the associates and field collection team to ensure timely recovery of outstanding payments from clients. The Collection Manager will also be responsible for handling our clients who are NBFC and Banks that outsource their collection activities to us. Additionally, the Collection Manager will also be responsible for exploring new avenues for collection agency tie-ups to enhance the company's collection capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop Field Collection team across geographies
Supervise and manage agency and field collection team to ensure timely and effective recovery of outstanding payments from clients.
Monitor and track collection activities of the team to ensure the targets are met and the collection process adheres to company policies and guidelines.
Identify areas of improvement in the collection process and provide necessary recommendations to enhance collection capabilities.
Manage the day-to-day operations of the collection team, including scheduling, training, and performance management.
Conduct regular meetings with the agency and field collection team to review progress, identify challenges and provide necessary guidance.
Analyze and report on collection trends, identify root causes of delinquencies, and propose remedial actions to reduce the risk of loss.
Maintain accurate records of all collection activities and ensure that all data is up to date and relevant for decision making.
Provide regular reports to the senior management on collection performance, risks, and opportunities.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, particularly NBFCs and Banks, and ensure their collection activities are executed as per the agreement.
Coordinate with clients to understand their collection needs and provide timely solutions to address their concerns.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
Proven experience of at least 5 years in managing collections or credit control operations.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong leadership skills and ability to manage and motivate teams.
Proficient in using MS Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
