Collective Licensing Administrator

Location: London, England

Category: Remote Jobs

Job description

In this role, you’ll help ensure that artists and their beneficiaries receive the royalties they’re entitled to. You’ll be responsible for researching and identifying the rightful recipients of royalties we’ve collected, reaching out to them, and guiding them through the process of registering with DACS so we can pay them what they’re owed.

You’ll work with our databases to check for missing information, such as bank details or VAT certificates, and contact existing members to help us complete their records and make payments.

You’ll also support DACS’ Collective Licensing Manager, especially during our busy annual Payback campaign which distributes £5 million each year to artists and their beneficiaries. Collective licensing allows DACS to collect royalties on behalf of large groups of artists for the use of their work where it’s not practical to license individually – for example, when artworks are photocopied in books or shown on TV.

This role is an ideal opportunity for someone who is highly organised, enjoys research, and thrives on working with people.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Research and Identification of new members:

• Conduct research using various databases and online tools to identify artists who are not DACS members for whom we have collected royalties.

• Contact identified potential members to onboard DACS.

• Update the DACS CRM system (SAP) accordingly.

• Maintain monthly reports of achievement.

Existing Members:

• Manage the schedule of DACS members on hold for payment, contact members to obtain all required details and update the SAP system accordingly to allow distributions to be made to the members.

• Report monthly on progress.

• Support the Collective Licensing Manager:

• Receive, respond, answer and record member queries relating to the annual Payback Campaign. Provide advice and guidance to members to enable them to successfully and accurately complete their valid Payback claims each year.

• Manage the Payback Inbox

• Manage the Payback query logs

• Updating member details in Payback and SAP.

• Provide administrative assistance to the Collective Licensing Manager such as coordinating all due diligence responses each year and handling ongoing member queries.
