Role Overview:
As the Counsellor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of our students. Your responsibilities will include taking full ownership of the mentorship program for the students assigned to you. Checking in with them on a weekly basis, strategizing for profile building and applications to top global universities. This would include understanding the application requirements of different countries. It would also require you to learn what makes a stellar application for specific majors, goals and universities and plan accordingly to help present the students' hooks and strengths in the best possible way.
Responsibilities:
• Serve as the primary point of contact for students and their parents, offering prompt guidance, support, and resources as needed.
• Conduct proactive outreach to students facing academic or personal challenges, providing assistance and advocacy as necessary.
• Advocate for students' needs and concerns within the institution, collaborating with faculty, staff, and administrators to address them effectively.
• Support company counselling and mentoring operations by creating and maintaining a detailed database of past and present clients. Reporting on the trackers and to your manager as required.
• Building a rapport with your students and making their families feel comfortable to open up to you.
• Researching on application requirements, mastering the diverse portals and ensuring error-free applications are submitted.
• Helping students understand and map essay prompts, motivating them to write great first drafts and using exemplary editing skills to build on these for the finalized version fit for submission to top international universities.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline. Prior experience with college applications is preferred. However, suitable freshers are also encouraged to apply.
• Excellent communication skills, with a strong command of spoken and written English•
• Exceptional organizational skills in managing schedules, coordinating information flow between mentors and students and maintaining accurate records.
• Proficiency in MS Office, Google Workspace, and video conferencing platforms to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
