Position Details
College Nurse
The College Nurse plays a critical role in supporting and documenting the health and wellbeing needs of our students.
When required, the nurse will also complete student services administration duties and provide support to other staff based in the reception area at MTCC.
Selection Criteria
The Successful Applicant Will Demonstrate
Nursing Qualifications and hands-on experience (school nurse experience is advantageous but not essential).
Mental health background (advantageous).
Strong administration skills including proficiency in using Microsoft suite such as Outlook and Word, and a willingness to undertake training in college databases such as SEQTA, Consent2Go.
A genuine interest in children and their wellbeing.
Professional and nurturing communication skills.
Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with other staff members.
Initiative and a proactive approach to work.
Ability to handle sensitive information professionally and with confidentiality.
Time management skills and ability to multitask.
Be fully supportive of our Catholic ethos.
Completion or willingness to work towards completion of CEWA’s Accreditation to Work.
Willingness to become an active member of the Mother Teresa Catholic College community with a strong commitment to promoting and supporting the varied aspects of college life.
Familiarity with the CEWA Child Safe Framework and Work Health and Safety Principles.
A shared responsibility to ensure ongoing support for a child-safe culture within the Catholic Education System.

Qualifications Required
Must have a current AHPRA registration in Australia.
Current training in: Asthma, Anaphylaxis and Non-Suicidal Self Injury.
Accreditation to Work in a Catholic School or willing to work towards attaining the Accreditation.
Desirable
Experience within Catholic Education Western Australia and/or education sector.
Experience with SEQTA and Microsoft Dynamics 365 (AoS).
