Job Description
The Commercial Banker II develops a customer base of new clients through prospecting, community involvement, and business development activities. They increase the commercial loan portfolio through sound underwriting practices and generate commercial loan fee income.
Responsibilities:
• Drive new business development through consistent calling activity.
• Meet or exceed performance goals related to identifying, soliciting, and acquiring new clients.
• Structure products and services to maximize opportunities for the bank and meet individual client needs.
• Analyze customers' financial position and credit worthiness.
• Negotiate terms, costs, repayment methods, collateral requirements, and rates.
• Ensure all commercial loans meet lending quality and compliance requirements.
• Follow processes and procedures for loan documentation and review.
• Buildeffective relationships with business owners and decision makers.
• Communicate complex data and financial issues accurately and objectively.
• Represent the bank in a professional manner.
Qualifications:
• Advanced knowledge of commercial banking products and services.
• Demonstrated ability to network and build centers of influence.
• Successful experience developing new client relationships through calling efforts and referral networks.
• Proven performer as a commercial loan officer in a high-performing commercial bank environment.
• Effective communicator and results-oriented individual.
• Exhibit strong interpersonal skills and ability to cultivate long-term relationships.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
