Job Description
We are a leading mechanical contractor specializing in HVAC construction, installation, and maintenance across the New York Tri-State area. We're looking for an experienced and organized Boiler Technician. The position directly reports to the Service Manager. The wage is established based on the Local 638 Wage schedule.
Description:
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair potential boiler issues, gas, oil, and electrical systems
Safely start, operate, and shut down high-pressure steam boilers and auxiliary equipment (pumps, compressors, etc.)
Correctly complete the preventive maintenance on heating equipment.
Read and interpret gauges, meters, and control systems to diagnose mechanical and electrical malfunctions quickly and accurately.
Qualification:
Minimum of 6 years of experience with boilers
Valid Driver's License (Motor Vehicle Report will be run to establish if candidate can operate a company vehicle)
Must be able to easily bend, stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to work overtime when required.
Must be able to work independently and have good customer communication skills.
