The Opportunity:
We’re searching for a talented Commercial Finance Analyst to join our Sydney Commercial Finance team and support the establishment of a brand‑new Licensed Commercial Finance function. This is a rare opportunity to contribute to shaping the way we partner with the Licensed Sales team as we continue our exciting journey of growth.

Reporting to the Commercial Finance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in providing commercial insights, financial analysis and business partnering support to across the licensed channel, a business representing ~$500m in revenue. You’ll partner closely with Sales, Credit, FP&A, Marketing and the wider Finance team.

This role begins highly hands-on and manual, requiring someone who enjoys diving into large, imperfect datasets, identifying issues, building reporting foundations and partnering with a national sales team of around 80 people. If you enjoy bringing clarity to the messy and thrive in fast-moving environments, you’ll fit right in.
What you’ll do:
Commercial & Financial Partnership
Provide commercial guidance to the Licensed Sales team, supporting improved decision‑making and performance.
Support forecasting, budgeting and month‑end processes with a focus on NSV, GP and channel overheads.
Prepare financial reporting for customer reviews, contract performance tracking and on‑premise rebate calculations.

Process & System Build
Help establish new financial processes for the Licensed channel, including customer P&Ls, promotional pricing governance and contract management standards.
Support system testing, reporting linkages and financial planning workflows.
Assist in developing business cadence and governance frameworks for the new function.

Reporting, Insights & Commercial Analysis
Deliver ongoing reporting, insights and ad‑hoc analysis to help drive results.
Conduct risk assessments on trade spend‑related balance sheet accounts.
Optimise reporting tools and dashboards, with Power BI capability viewed favourably.

Continuous Improvement
Partner cross‑functionally to streamline and improve commercial processes.
Develop reporting suites that support IBP cycles and operational needs.
Ingredients for success:
Just like your go‑to -196 or Canadian Club hits differently when it’s made right, we’re looking for a blend of must‑have ingredients that come together to create real impact in this role. You’re commercially curious, analytical, and energised by bringing clarity to complexity, especially when partnering with a fast‑paced sales function.

You’ll bring:
A Finance background with strong analytical capability and confidence working with large, complex datasets.
Advanced Excel skills, ideally with Power Query, and a disciplined approach to clean, reliable data modelling.
Ability to interpret commercial drivers — from P&L impacts to channel or volume trends — with a practical, experiment‑led mindset.
Interest or experience in Power BI and a desire to build reporting capability over time.
Strong communication and influencing skills, translating financial insights for non‑financial stakeholders.
High attention to detail and comfort working at pace in a shifting, fast‑moving environment.
Continuous‑improvement mindset with the willingness to challenge and enhance existing processes.
Collaborative, hands‑on approach, ready to support colleagues and work across teams.
Energy, resilience and the ability to thrive in an ambiguous, dynamic commercial setting.
Experience with contract management is beneficial.
What's in it for you?
Grow your career, we like to promote from within and have incredible learning and development opportunities around the world.
Quarterly product allowance to spend at our staff shop.
Drive transformation and innovation in a future-fit operating model.
Generous incentive program for all of our permanent employees.
An inclusive parental leave policy for both primary and secondary caregivers.
Birthday leave – enjoy a day off to celebrate your birthday.
Gradual return to work to help you transition back from parental leave.
Work in a culture that values diversity, collaboration and growth.
Flexible working – flexible hours and hybrid working.
We are committed to giving back to our communities, so we provide you with volunteer leave to do so.
