What you’ll do:
Coordinate month-end processes with accounting and business stakeholders for accurate financial reporting, preparing accruals, invoices, journals, WIP capex, and reports1
Analyse financial performance and supporting data to identify trends, explain differences between actual and budgeted / forecasted results, and contribute to the identification of risks and opportunities in achieving financial targets
Manage financial forecast and budget processes, including educating stakeholders, data collection, validation, system loading, investigate variances and highlight key assumptions, risks, and opportunities
Provide key stakeholders commercial advice on revenue / expenditure contracts and business case submissions and ensure compliance with financial standards, internal policies, and agreements
Train and support non-financial stakeholders on commercial and financial concepts, promoting accurate information capture and efficiency improvements
What we are looking for:
Degree Qualification in Commerce, Business, Economics or similar
CA / CPA Qualification
Advanced Excel skills and experience using Power BI, and TM1
Minimum of 3 years' experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and reporting, with demonstrated expertise in developing financial models to solve business challenges, identify efficiencies, and opportunities
Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration and relationship-building across teams, with a strong attention to detail
Favourable: Knowledge and experience of the water sector or another regulatory business would be beneficial
