Our Opportunity

Our Group Commercial Finance Manager is responsible for leading the commercial finance function by providing strategic and financial advice to ensure sound financial and operational decisions, maximising profitability and delivering productivity targets.

As an integral business partner, you will build strong partnerships with our Managing Directors and senior leaders across various teams. Reporting into and working closely with the GM Finance to deliver the Group and brand's finance strategy, you will support across financial reporting, budgeting and capital expenditure for the business, ensuring business and department goals and timelines are met.

Providing strong leadership and strategic and operational support, you will bring your previous management and commercial finance experience to this Group role, based in our Cremorne head office.

Key responsibilities will include:

Leadership of x2 direct reports

Partner with our brands' Managing Directors to drive strategic growth initiatives, drive margin improvement and cost optimisation initiatives

Provide support to the GM Finance and Senior Leadership Team with advice on brand finance strategies and delivery of Group strategy

Provide critical financial, qualitative and quantitative analysis for decision making by brands and

Review and sign off Group monthly P&L results in conjunction with GM Finance

Evaluate business opportunities, pricing strategies and investment decisions using financial modelling, ROI and scenario analysis

Group Financial Reporting

Coordinate and prepare the annual & season capex budget for the business

Provide direction & issue instructions for budget timetable and department budgeting

Effective management of the daily operations, ongoing development and implementation of system upgrades of financial systems

The successful candidate will ideally have:

Tertiary qualifications in Accounting or Commerce

CPA or CA accredited

Previous leadership experience

Extensive experience in Retail accounting or similar environment

Strong stakeholder management and business partnering experience

Analytical and commercial mindset

Effective influencing and conflict resolution skills

Advanced MS Excel skills
