Legal Counsel / Commercial Lawyer

Up to £72,000

Legal Counsel / Commercial Lawyer is required to join one of the largest energy suppliers in the UK.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Commercial Lawyer to join an established legal team which is leading the way with energy business solutions and has partnered with some large household names within the industrial, commercial and public sector customers.

As the Legal Counsel / Commercial Lawyer, you will be responsible for;
• Providing advice on all aspects of their energy solution projects which include on site and off site PV Solar, wind and heat pumps for both public and private sector customers
• Provide advice on development, procurement and construction of decarbonisation projects
• Drafting and negotiating on a variety of commercial contracts and assisting with the procurement processes

As the Legal Counsel / Commercial Lawyer, you will have;
• Qualification as a Solicitor, Barrister or CILEX
• Experience of drafting high value and complex commercial contracts/ EU Procurement experience is desirable
• Ability to work independently on complex matters but also part of a wider project team within the business and with external stakeholders
• Have an understanding of working for a regulated environment / candidates that have worked in the energy industry or a regulated environment would be ideal but not a necessity
• Strong commercial acumen
