Job description
If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a strong desire to get your hands dirty in high-stakes litigation, this could be the role for you.
Our client is looking to recruit a dynamic, hands-on Commercial Litigator to join their growing team. Ideally, they’re seeking someone at the junior end (0-3 years PQE), but they would also consider more senior candidates with a complementary specialism or a strong client following.
Their practice handles a wide range of commercial litigation in the High Court, including:
• Contract disputes
• Corporate disputes
• Insolvency
• Insurance
• Professional negligence
• Procurement, and more.
The ideal candidate will be someone with a solid foundation in commercial litigation, ideally having experience both running cases independently and supporting partners on more complex, high-value matters. Much of our clients work involves high-value, intricate cases, and they are currently managing multiple week-long commercial litigation trials.
In the coming months, there are several month-long trials scheduled, and you will have the opportunity to work on these projects, either independently or alongside senior colleagues.
What Our Client is Looking For:
• Hands-on litigation experience (ideally 0-3 PQE but open to more senior candidates with complementary expertise).
• An individual who can roll up their sleeves and take charge of cases, while also being comfortable working with partners on larger cases.
• A strong desire to get involved in complex, high-value litigation, with a view to developing into a key player in the department and firm.
• A proactive, confident approach, with the ability to manage clients and opposing parties directly.
• A candidate with experience in High Court litigation would be particularly advantageous. However, our client is open to considering candidates who may have been involved in large cases where their role lacked client contact.
What Our Client Offers:
• A fantastic opportunity to work on high-profile, challenging cases in the High Court.
• Competitive salary and benefits for the right candidate.
• A firm where they actively recruit and train their people to handle the most complex litigation matters. You will not just be an assistant – you’ll be fully engaged in managing cases and building client relationships.
• Support and mentoring from senior partners to develop your career within commercial litigation.
Our client is an established yet growing, forward-thinking firm, and they’re looking for someone who shares their drive and ambition. They understand the challenges of recruitment and have a clear vision of what they need – the right person with the right attitude and experience, who is ready to step into hands-on commercial litigation.
If you are someone who wants to be part of a team where you’ll have a meaningful role in complex and high-value litigation we would love to speak to you.
