We’re looking for a driven and experienced Commercial Manager to join our Business Banking team and play a key role in supporting the growth of New Zealand’s commercial sector—particularly where it connects with ASEAN markets.

In this pivotal role, you’ll be driving the growth of Kiwibank’s commercial portfolio by building strong relationships with business clients and delivering tailored financial solutions that support their success. You’ll work on exciting, high-impact deals, structuring complex cash flow lending facilities and leveraging products like FX, Asset Finance, Working Capital and Trade Finance to meet their evolving needs. A strong understanding of ASEAN-linked business activity will be key, as you help execute strategic initiatives that support cross-border trade and growth. With a sharp focus on customer outcomes, strategic credit analysis, and market insight, you’ll play a vital role in shaping the future of business banking in Aotearoa.
You will be supported by a Commercial Associate and a team of product partners in our specialist teams, giving you the capacity and capability to grown deeper customer connections and focus on what matters.

At Kiwibank, we’ll help you build on your strengths and learn new skills, but in the meantime, we would love to hear from you if you have the following:
Proven success in Business/Commercial Banking, particularly in working capital lending, FX, and Trade Finance
Experience working with import/export clients, manufacturers and processor, as well as those in wholesale and distribution, logistics and supply chain, and a solid understanding of ASEAN markets and trade flows
Proven relationship management skills, with a dedication to helping our clients achieve their business growth goals
Deep understanding of credit risk, financial analysis, and structuring complex deals
Experience working with import/export clients and international banking products
Ability to speak Mandarin is desirable, but not essential
