Commercial Officer
Clerk Grade: 7/8, base salary starting at $106,025 - $117,363 plus superannuation
Employment Type: Temporary 12-months, full-time opportunity
Role can be based on Sydney/Bathurst/Gosford/Tweed Heads, hybrid working options and flexible working arrangements available
About the role:
The Telco Authority is looking for a Commercial Officer to join the Commercial team. The role will be integral in managing the end-to-end process to plan, develop, source, and manage procurement and contractual arrangements to effectively meet organisational and business objectives. This involves the establishment of contracts, change management, claims management, negotiating variations and monitoring supplier performance.
Your day-to-day:
Assist Senior Commercial Officer in actively contributing to the development, implementation, and delivery of the Telco Authority commercial strategy with a high focus on elements of tendering and contracting;
Assist with the planning and execution of RFx events to deliver value for money procurement outcomes;
Maintain the contractual obligations from end-to-end;
Develop in consultation with internal stakeholder procurement and tender documentation;
Communicate and liaise with external stakeholders;
Support the development and management of optimal sourcing strategies; and
Comply with policies, processes and frameworks during the sourcing events ensuring activities are undertaken within the NSW Government procurement frameworks and Telco Authority governance, control, and policy framework at all times.
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
Exposure to a commercial working environment
Experience analyst working within a contractual / financial framework
Solid understanding of purchase order processes
Data focused with the ability to report on statistics and preferable understanding of BI tools
An ability working with process flowcharts and document processes
Strong communication skills working with stakeholders both internally / externally at all to manage them through the payment process.

About Telco Authority:
NSW Telco Authority is working with government agencies, and other partners to design and build the next generation of critical and non-critical operational communications services for NSW Government agencies, to better enable them to service and protect NSW communities.
This includes the Critical Communications Enhancement Program (CCEP), with an investment of $1.5 billion by NSW Government, across four years to build an enhanced government radio network.
A key role in the development of a national Public Safety Mobile Broadband (PSMB) capability, and the Regional Digital Connectivity and NSW Mobile Black Spot program among others.
