Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and reliable individual to join our commercial construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience in steel stud framing, drywall installation, mudding and taping, and installing T-bar (drop) ceilings. This role involves working on commercial construction projects including offices, retail spaces, and institutional buildings.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform steel stud framing for walls, bulkheads, and ceilings according to blueprint specifications
Install drywall (boarding) efficiently and accurately
Apply drywall mud and tape, and finish to a smooth, paint-ready surface
Install T-bar grid systems and acoustic ceiling tiles
Ensure high-quality workmanship and attention to detail
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and construction plans
Measure and mark surfaces for accurate installation
Follow all safety procedures and site-specific protocols
Work independently or as part of a team to meet project deadlines
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of experience in commercial framing, drywall, and T-bar ceiling installation
Strong understanding of commercial construction practices
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
Physically fit and capable of lifting heavy materials and standing for long periods
Reliable transportation to various job sites
Safety certifications (e.g., WHMIS, Fall Protection) are an asset
Own tools are preferred
