Position Overview:
As a Commercial Vehicle Technician/Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our client’s fleet. You'llbe responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintainingvarious types of commercial vehicles, providing high-quality service to keep operations running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform thorough inspections and diagnostics on commercial vehicles, including trucks/ Vans
Execute repairs and maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake replacements, and engine overhauls.
Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to identify mechanical issues accurately.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and best practices in all maintenance activities.
Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed.
Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot complex vehicle issues and improve service efficiency.
Communicate effectively with clients regarding vehicle status and recommended repairs.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Commercial Vehicle Technician/Mechanic or in a similar role.
Relevant certifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds) are highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems in commercial vehicles.
Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and hand tools.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.
Valid driver's license.
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
