Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commis 3 to join our kitchen team.
As a Commis 3, you will work under the guidance of the head chef and sous chef, providing support in all aspects of kitchen operations while taking on increased responsibilities and building on the skills and experience gained as a Commis 2.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and cook dishes to a high standard, following recipes and presentation guidelines
• Take on a greater level of responsibility within the kitchen, leading junior kitchen staff and overseeing the work of Commis 1 and 2
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness and organization in the kitchen
• Assist in inventory management and ordering of products
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Provide guidance and training to junior kitchen staff
• Assist in menu development and testing new dishes
• Assist head chef and sous chef in the supervision of kitchen operations
• Take on additional responsibilities and tasks as required
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Commis 2 or similar role in a busy kitchen
• Strong knowledge of different cooking techniques and ingredients
• Strong leadership, organizational and time management skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Food Safety Certification
• A passion for food and a desire to learn and grow in the culinary field
