Job Description
We are seeking a talented and passionate Commis Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. As a Commis Chef, you will work closely with our experienced chefs to assist in all aspects of food preparation and kitchen operations. Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation of high-quality dishes following standardized recipes and specifications.
Collaborate with senior chefs to ensure timely and efficient food production.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen stations, equipment, and utensils.
Handle and store food items in compliance with food safety standards and regulations.
Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and replenishing supplies as needed.
Follow proper sanitation procedures to maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment.
Execute basic cooking techniques such as chopping, slicing, and grilling under the guidance of senior chefs.
Support the team during service by plating dishes, garnishing, and ensuring presentation standards are met.
Participate in kitchen training sessions and culinary workshops to enhance skills and knowledge.
Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines at all times.
Requirements:
Previous experience working in a kitchen environment preferred but not required.
Culinary school diploma or equivalent training is a plus.
Basic understanding of food safety practices and hygiene standards.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and follow instructions from senior chefs.
Strong passion for food and eagerness to learn new culinary techniques.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.
Positive attitude and willingness to take on new challenges.
