Job Description
Responsibilities:
Menu Curation: Collaborate with the head chef and culinary team to develop and curate an innovative and appealing continental menu. Contribute creative ideas and suggestions for new dishes, considering customer preferences, seasonality, and ingredient availability.
Food Trials: Assist in the preparation and execution of food trials for new menu items. Follow recipes, techniques, and presentation guidelines to ensure consistency and quality. Gather feedback from the team and make necessary adjustments to recipes or techniques as required.
Daily Production: Take ownership of daily food production, ensuring all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of taste, presentation, and food safety. Coordinate with the kitchen team to prioritize tasks, manage inventory, and minimize food wastage.
Food Preparation: Execute various cooking techniques and methods specific to continental cuisine, including grilling, sautéing, baking, and frying. Prepare ingredients, portion sizes, and mise en place efficiently to support smooth kitchen operations during service hours.
Quality Control: Maintain strict quality control standards throughout the cooking and plating process. Monitor the taste, texture, and appearance of dishes to ensure they meet the established standards. Address any inconsistencies or deficiencies promptly to maintain the highest level of culinary excellence.
Sanitation and Safety: Adhere to strict hygiene and food safety standards at all times. Follow proper sanitation procedures, including personal hygiene, cleanliness of workstations, and safe handling of equipment and ingredients.
Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth coordination and effective communication. Assist in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff, providing guidance on culinary techniques, recipes, and presentation.
Requirements:
• Previous experience as a Commis 1 or similar role in a reputable restaurant or hotel.
• In-depth knowledge of continental cuisine, culinary techniques, and international food trends.
• Creative flair and ability to contribute innovative ideas to menu development.
• Strong culinary skills with proficiency in various cooking techniques and methods.
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment, handling multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.

Salary: ₹16,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
