Stamford Plaza Melbourne is a five-star luxury hotel located at the 'Paris end' of Little Collins Street in the heart of the shopping & theatre district and we are now seeking a passionate hands-on Commis Chef.

Permanent full time

Rotating shifts (including breakfast, lunch, dinner and weekends)

Key Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

Preparing food items by following standardized recipes to deliver consistent quality dishes

Ensuring ‘mise en place’ is ready prior to service delivery

Actively participating in training sessions when new menu items are introduced

Complying with control procedures for food production, portion control and stock management

Rotating through each kitchen of the hotel in order to develop a broad range of skills and work with a variety of talented chefs

Ensuring kitchen work area is hygienic, clean & well presented

The Ideal Candidate Will Be

Proactive, energetic and shares a passion for the hospitality industry

Qualified in commercial cookery

Demonstrated experience
