Role: Commissioning Editor / Junior Commissioning Editor - Trade Publishing
Reporting to: Editorial Director
Location: New Delhi (WFO)
Experience: 3–4 years in trade publishing
Are you passionate about books and the publishing process? Skilled at taking ideas from concept to print? Join us in shaping impactful non-fiction titles in line with our publishing strategy.
What we’re looking for:
• 3+ years of experience in trade publishing, ideally as a Commissioning Editor
• Expertise in structural editing, copyediting, and proofreading
• Proven success in bringing multiple books from pitch to publication
• Strong knowledge of the contemporary book market and reading trends
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
• Commission 10–12 titles annually aligned with our publishing strategy
• Manage the editorial process from ideation to publication
• Collaborate with design, marketing, and publicity teams to create standout books
• Present titles to key stakeholders and champion them across teams
• Explore copyright acquisitions for the Indian subcontinent
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹700,000.00 - ₹+00,000.00 per year
