As the Communication and Engagement Specialist within the Retail Transformation team, you will support the delivery of the Retail Transformation’s communication strategy, both internally within the program as well as across impacted stakeholder groups. You will also be responsible for telling compelling stories, crafting engaging visual and written content, and taking accountability for critical communication channels and collaborating with various internal teams, vendors and agencies to ensure consistent messaging.
What you’ll be doing:
Partnering with leaders and experts across the Retail Transformation program to define requirements and context, whilst driving clarity and consistency of the messaging for various audience groups.
Partnering with the Retail Transformation Change team, internal Communication teams and external vendors to deliver timely change communications to internal audiences.
Supporting the delivery against integrated communication plans to execute on awareness campaigns and program announcements.
Supporting the planning and running of program engagement events such as townhalls, team alignment sessions and showcases.
Developing engaging communication campaign assets such as briefing toolkits, leader message scripting, high-quality internal articles and videos.
Maintaining and updating intranet content and regularly reviewing, editing, and publishing engaging and accurate information to ensure the intranet remains a reliable and up-to-date resource for all employees.
What you’ll bring:
Tertiary qualification in communications, public relations, journalism, a related field or equivalent industry experience.
Experience in content or a similar role in corporate in-house or agency environment creating and implementing successful change communication strategies to meet large organisation objectives.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Includes demonstrated experience in writing and editing, with the ability to craft persuasive and compelling narratives, and skilled at simplifying complex messages for easy understanding by diverse audiences.
Ability to develop, produce and curate engaging video contact and proficiency in graphic design for digital and non-digital environments is highly regarded.
High level of proficiency in MS Office, in particular PowerPoint and experience with Adobe Creative Suite highly regarded.
