Job Description
As the Communications Content Manager you will ensure publications and communications produced by APRA are consistent with the APRA style and voice. Accountable for producing high quality corporate publications that are clear, accessible, and tailored to their intended audiences. This role will see you working closely with APRA executives and subject matter experts to assist with drafting and producing key corporate communications.
The team
APRA Corporate Affairs is a small, busy and high-functioning team of communications professionals, covering external communications, internal communications, digital media and design.
Key responsibilities
Lead and champion editorial accuracy and quality across APRA publications;
Lead the writing and editing of various corporate publications and other communications across APRA, including the Annual Report;
Draft and edit other communications materials as required; and
Build trusted and constructive relationships with key stakeholders across APRA to understand requirements and deliver high value outcomes.
About you
Solid experience working within a central communications function with responsibility for delivery across multiple business units/functions;
Background in journalism or corporate communications roles within Financial Services or the Public Sector;
Acute attention to detail, a passion for effective communications and the ability to work collaboratively and autonomously;
Ability to understand and distil technical financial detail and concepts;
A high degree of awareness of the external environment in which APRA operates and of existing and emerging issues likely to affect APRA and the entities it regulates;
Demonstrated credibility working with Senior Leaders, building trust and influence to achieve outcomes;
Ability to navigate dynamic environments to deliver mutually beneficial outcomes; and
Strong interpersonal, communication, stakeholder management and negotiation skills to influence outcomes.
