The Queensland Synod is the state council of the Uniting Church who come together every 18 months for Synod in Session - a meeting to discern together and make decisions for the management of the Synod.
The Synod Office's purpose is to act upon the discernment of the Synod, to enable, equip and encourage a renewing and growing Church across Queensland. We are mission-driven, service-orientated and relationally focused.
What we need you to do:
Develop and produce high-quality written, visual, and multimedia content for diverse communication channels including social media, video, audio, print , internet and intranet.
Generate engaging copy, articles, blog posts and narratives that align with the organisation's brand voice, values and objectives.
Create visually appealing graphics, images, videos, radio segments and other multimedia content to complement written communication and enhance audience engagement (ability to shoot, produce and edit videos for online use and audio for radio segments).
Provide technical support for live streams and webinars.
Develop and curate engaging content for social media platforms (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram).
Maintain a consistent online presence and effectively communicate key messages
Support internal communication efforts by developing content for employee newsletters, intranet and other internal communication channels.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure consistent messaging and alignment with organisational goals and the company’s values.
Build effective relationships with key stakeholders, clients and business groups to enable the development and implementation of effective digital communication tools and techniques.
Contribute to the development and evolution of the organisation's brand identity through innovative storytelling and creative content initiatives.
Model the values of the Uniting Church in Australia, Queensland Synod in day- to-day work including in interactions with managers, lay staff, ministry agents, clients and stakeholders.
Identify strategies to improve internal and external client-focused customer service
Work closely with the Manager, PR and Communications to ensure all content is aligned with the broader organisational strategic direction.
Compliance with Queensland Synod policies, procedures and relevant legislation.
Undertake other duties as and when directed within the scope of the role.
