Due to our ongoing organic growth, we are currently seeking a qualified permanent full-time Communications and Marketing Event Specialist to join our Marketing Team in Calgary, Alberta. The Communications and Marketing Event Specialist shall provide the ability to interact with staff in a fast-paced environment, while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient, with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality is crucial to this role.

Responsibilities:
• Providing communications across many channels, while maintaining strict adherence to the ROSEN brand;
• Conversion of marketing and communication strategies into concepts for editorial measures;
• Communications and publication on all defined communication channels;
• Editorial support for presentation, abstract, papers and marketing campaigns and collateral;
• Assist in developing marketing initiatives to build and strengthen the ROSEN brand;
• Assist in strategically developing content and marketing collateral to guide impressions;
• Project management and execution;
• Supporting internal departments with internal initiatives and communications;
• Managing the employee store;
• External event - Exhibition and Conference organization, project management, execution and reporting;
• Occasional US and International travel;
• Additional tasks and duties as required.

Requirements

Qualification or Skills:
• 4-5 years of relevant Oil and Gas industry, marketing communications experience;
• Knowledge of Pipeline Integrity, upstream, midstream, downstream, refining and pipeline construction an asset;
• Bachelor’s degree in communications (preferred), public relations, marketing, or journalism;
• Strong writer with superior spelling, grammar, and proofreading skills. Strong understanding of the use of communications iconography in the social environment, and able to write with flexibility in a variety of styles/tones to different audiences;
• Strategic thinking and the ability to assess situations, understand possible implications and make sound judgments;
• Proven experience and understanding of marketing tactics and operations;
• Excellent verbal communication skills and capability to communicate with all levels of the organization;
• Meticulous organized, task driven, with excellent attention to detail;
• A self-motivated, pro-active individual who can work independently as well as in a team;
• Excellent computer, word processing, desktop publishing, and researching skills;
• Ability to adapt to change and work in a fast-paced environment;
• Flexibility and diplomacy in interpersonal relationships;
• Support overall company marketing strategy through creation of localized content;
• Demonstrates emotional maturity and ability to operate under stressful situations;
• Must have valid work authorization in Canada.
