As Communications Executive (Maternity Cover), you will have responsibility for ensuring entrepreneurial students, staff and alumni are aware of, and are engaging with, the Strathclyde Inspire ecosystem, and for day-to-day communications with all ecosystem participants.

You will also work closely with the Marketing & Communications Manager to co-ordinate the delivery of a marketing strategy and plan which takes advantage of reputation building opportunities to position Strathclyde as a leading provider of entrepreneurship education and practice.

The position would suit an ambitious and motivated marketing and communications professional with a proven track record who enjoys working in a fast paced and dynamic environment.

Main Activities/Responsibilities:
Implement and continually evolve an internal marketing strategy and plan aimed at key target audiences (students, staff and alumni), ensuring high internal awareness of, and engagement with, Strathclyde Inspire.

Work closely with the Entrepreneurship for All (E4A) team to ensure E4A awareness raising activities are effectively integrated into overarching Strathclyde Inspire marketing activities.

Identify and effectively engage with entrepreneurship ambassadors ensuring representation across all departments.

Co-ordinate regular Communications meetings with relevant stakeholders, facilitating high awareness and understanding of all Inspire-related activity and therefore ensuring appropriate coverage in marketing and communications activities.

With input and guidance from relevant stakeholders and the Marketing & Communications Manager, co-ordinate the delivery of a marketing strategy and plan which takes advantage of reputation building opportunities to position Strathclyde as a leading provider of entrepreneurship education and practice.

In support of the above, contribute to or lead on a range of discrete activities (e.g. award applications, rankings, sponsorship opportunities, speaker opportunities, high profile events, PR opportunities etc).

Liaising with colleagues across Strathclyde Inspire effectively collate, analyse and interpret KPI data and information which contribute to the production of impact reports (including responsibility for the annual HEBCI submission).

Responsible for managing a range of digital tools (e.g. website, social media, case studies, e-newsletters, podcasts, videos) to support both internal and external marketing and comms activities.

Responsible for ensuring consistent messaging across all Strathclyde Inspire communication channels, developing and maintaining marketing and communications collateral in support of the above (message deck, key stats depositary, presentation template etc).

Develop and cultivate effective relationships with a range of key ecosystem stakeholders to enable successful delivery of all allocated activities.

Ensure robust procedures are in place for tracking and measuring efficacy of activities.

Ensure all initiatives adhere to GDPR.

Line management of the Marketing Assistant. This will include matters such as workload management, ADR completion, general staff development, absence management, recruitment and implementing other HR policies as they arise.

Other activities assigned by the Marketing & Communications Manager or Head of Entrepreneurship Strategy (in respect of reputation building activities).
