The Role
CommTel are seeking Communications Field Technicians for upcoming works across South Australia. Reporting directly to the General Manager of Integrated Services and Solutions (IS&S), the Communications Field Technicians will be responsible for installing and maintaining telecommunications equipment and networks for clients in South Australia.
The Communications Field Technician's day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Undertaking cabling and system testing.
Completing troubleshooting for hardware and software issues for clients.
Ensuring the installed systems meet design specifications.
Providing technical support to resolve client problems effectively.
Essential Requirements
Tertiary qualification in Communications.
3+ years experience in telecommunications.
WHS Construction Industry White Card.
Demonstrated good safety record and knowledge of Work Health & Safety.
Valid Driver's Licence - 'C' Class.
Current National Police Clearance
Permanent work rights in Australia.
Ability to read and interpret complex fibre cabling, splicing and equipment plans and diagrams.
Excellent time management and organisational skills.
Desirable Skills and Qualifications
Previous experience in utilities and/or resources industry.
Optical fibre accreditation.
ACMA cabling registration.
Telecommunications accreditations.
