As a leader in supporting independent optometry across Canada, we are seeking a highly motivated and creative Communications Specialist to join our dynamic Marketing and Communications team. This pivotal role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional writing and storytelling skills
to shape our brand voice and how we connect with members, partners, and the broader Canadian eye care community.
Responsibilities:
Develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies that align with business objectives.
Create compelling content for various platforms, including newsletters, announcements, website copy, social media, press releases, and blogs.
Manage social media presence, including content planning, creation, posting, and performance analysis.
Collaborate effectively with internal and external teams to ensure consistent brand messaging.
Maintain meticulous attention to detail in editing and proofreading all communications.
Contribute innovative and engaging communication strategies to enhance audience engagement.
The Successful Candidate:
4-6 years of experience in communications, content creation, or a related field.
Proven excellence in writing and editing across digital, print, social media, and internal communication channels.Impeccable grammar and attention to detail.
Strategic thinking and ability to tailor messaging to diverse audiences.
Strong organizational skills and proficiency in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Experience with social media management and performance tracking.
Familiarity with CMS platforms, Mailchimp, Canva, and project management software is an asset.
