Community Education & Training Coordinator, Allergy & Immunology

About the Role

This is a Fixed Term Part Time position at up to 0.8 FTE within the Allergy & Immunology Department until 30 June 2027.
You will be responsible for providing advice, support, and training to Victorian schools, helping staff meet health needs and educational engagement requirements under Ministerial Order 706: Anaphylaxis Management. You will also be required to engage with the Department of Education, to manage and respond to IRIS alerts relating to anaphylaxis in Victorian government schools.
Classification for this position will range from AO51 - AO55, based on your experience (base salary $92,856.40 pro-rata to $102,653.20 pro-rata per annum, plus superannuation).

What you’ll achieve:

Provide anaphylaxis policy implementation (Ministerial Order 706 and associated guidelines), education and advice to schools during working hours (Monday to Friday from 8.30 am to 5.00pm).
Assist schools and early childhood services to develop risk assessments, individual management plans and emergency response plans for children attending the school or children’s service who have been diagnosed at risk of anaphylaxis
Preparation of quarterly status reports and invoices for the DET as per requirements of the Funding Agreement.
Your skills and experience

Tertiary qualification in a relevant disciple e.g. education, nursing, health
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a health and/or education setting
Demonstrated

Commitment to providing quality service to patients and families
Proficiency in the use of established administrative processes
Experience in using computer applications, including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite, & EMR
