Moreton Bay College and Moreton Bay Boys College are seeking a relationship‑focused Community Engagement Coordinator to help build strong, connected and engaged parent communities across both colleges.
This part‑time role (0.5 FTE) plays a key part in strengthening the partnership between the Colleges and their parent groups, including Parents & Friends Associations, Support Groups and Parent Representatives.
About the Role
Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Community Relations, you will:
Lead parent engagement initiatives that build trust, connection and positive relationships
Coordinate parent‑focused communication in line with College standards
Act as the primary liaison with Parents & Friends Associations, Support Groups and Parent Representatives
Contribute content to College bulletins and parent communication channels
Support onboarding communication for new families
Assist parent groups with events, activities, grant applications and community initiatives
Attend P&F, Support Group and Parent Representative meetings
Ensure parent‑led activities align with College values, expectations and policies
Provide feedback to help inform future engagement planning
Work collaboratively with Marketing, Alumni Relations, Registrars and school leaders
This role supports engagement activity across both College campuses.
About You

Qualifications in communications, community engagement, education or similar (desirable)
Experience working with parent groups, volunteers or community organisations
Experience in schools or education settings (advantageous)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent organisation and attention to detail
Ability to balance community needs with College expectations
Confidence, professionalism and discretion
Ability to use Microsoft Office and communication platforms effectively
Requirements
Ability to work within a team and communicate clearly to a range of people
Ability to work autonomously, prioritise work and deliver to deadlines
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse individuals and groups
Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Proficient in using various communication tools, including social media platforms
Working with Children Suitability Card (Blue Card), or ability to obtain is essential
Alignment with the Christian ethos and values of the Colleges
Conditions and Salary
6-months fixed term, part time role (0.5 FTE)
This role is a School Officer role Level 5, as per the Moreton Bay College Enterprise Agreement.
Ranging from $82,433 to $86,470 p/a (full time equivalent).
Pro-rata Annual Leave, Sick Leave and Long Service Leave.
