Job Description
The successful candidate will have a demonstrated commitment to community medicine and providing culturally competent care to the medically underserved. As a Health Educator, you will play a vital role in supporting the planning, implementation, and delivery of health education topics for our patients.
Responsibilities:
Assist in project data collection, evaluation activities, and required reporting.
Develop and deliver health education topic outlines and curriculums, incorporating various learning techniques and formats.
Perform group/individual assessments and counseling, providing patients with current, accurate health information.
Provide group classes and staff community events for health education topics, ensuring correct material is delivered in culturally appropriate and relevant ways.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Health Education, Health Science, Nutritional Science, Public Health, Communications, or closely related field required.
2 years of experience delivering health education, preferably in a community health setting.
Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
