Building genuine relationships with First Nations communities across South Australia is central to this work – and through trusted partnerships with First Nations organisations and key stakeholders, you'll help ensure First Nations voices genuinely shape RAA's Community Impact strategy.

This opportunity sits within the Community Impact and Environment team and reports to the Senior Manager Community Impact and Environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

Developing and nurturing strong, respectful and sustainable relationships with First Nations communities and organisations
Supporting integration of a First Nations voice into RAA’s Community Impact strategy and broader initiatives
Providing thoughtful, expert advice across the organisation on First Nations affairs, communications and engagement
Leading and supporting delivery of RAA’s Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) commitments
Representing RAA in external forums, including community, government and stakeholder engagements
Facilitating collaboration between RAP Working Groups, First Nations panel members and internal stakeholders
Identifying opportunities to enhance inclusion, participation and employment of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples
Providing mentoring, guidance and support to First Nations employees within RAA

About You:

You’re an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person who is passionate about creating positive, lasting change. You value connection, respect and collaboration, and enjoy working with a diverse range of people and communities.

You thrive on building relationships, are highly organised, and communicate confidently with a wide range of stakeholders. You enjoy balancing strategic thinking with hands-on delivery and bring a proactive, collaborative approach to your work.

You’ll also bring:

Strong experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and stakeholders
Well developed understanding of First Nations issues, community dynamics and cultural protocols
Proven ability to build trusted relationships and influence diverse stakeholders
Experience developing and delivering strategic partnerships and community initiatives
Knowledge and experience in Reconciliation Action Plan development and implementation
Strong facilitation, communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Comfort working in evolving environments and managing multiple priorities.
If you’re passionate about creating lasting community impact, we’d love to hear from you.
