Role: Community Manager

Location: Toronto, Canada


About the role:
We're looking for a proactive and creative individual to build engaged communities for some of the biggest brands in the country. Someone who can create video content, make people laugh in the comments and turn cultural moments and trends into shareable content.

You'll be working on nationally relevant brands, so you need to know what's going on in social media and the worlds of entertainment and sports. Writing is at the core of the role so you should be able to entertain in a number of different voices, adapting as you switch between brands. As well as creating and posting you'll be reporting on performance, so experience with platform analytics is a plus.

Industry experience is helpful, but attitude and ideas are just as important. If you've got great ideas, a strong Instagram aesthetic, or know what works on TikTok, we want to hear from you.

Must be 19+

What you will be doing:
Creating and posting content to brand social media channels
Coming up with ideas and executing them on a daily basis
Inputting on influencer briefs
Keeping up to date with the latest social trends & tools and bringing fresh ideas on how to use them
Actively engaging fans in the comments
Monitoring platforms for content opportunities and initiating conversations
Analyzing, tracking, and measuring performance against KPIs and reporting on results
Working closely with our Account Management and creative teams to produce bigger, better ideas
What you need to be great in this role:
1-3 years' experience (ideally agency background) of working on social channels or campaigns
Ability to come up with ideas quickly
Examples of social media marketing successes and wins or personal social triumphs
1-2 years' experience of building audiences and engagement through social media
Strong understanding of social platforms including but not limited to TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat, Pinterest, Reddit
Experience monitoring and reporting on social campaigns a plus using social tools and analytics such as Khoros, Sprout, Sprinklr, Hootsuite etc
Basic MS Skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Adobe suite experience a plus (Photoshop etc)
Excellent professional written and verbal communication skills
At the time of this posting, the base salary for this position may range from $55,250.00 to $61,750.00 CAD. Individual compensation varies based on job related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications. The range listed is just one component of OLIVER's total compensation package.
