Job Description
The Community-Engagement Manager will help design, manage and monitor the What’s neXT50 global community online platform. They will be responsible for community outreach and the creation of curated events, content, and other programming that promotes the organization’s mission. They will develop a deep understanding of what brings value to community members and, working closely with a team of Senior Volunteer Advisors. Guide the organization’s implementation of programming that builds relationships and new networks, promotes a growth mindset to lifelong learning and creates opportunities for giving back. They will report to the Founder / CEO and work closely with a team of Senior Volunteer Advisors to ensure that the organization’s interactions with members is consistent with the priorities and strategic direction set forth by the Organization’s leadership. This is a newly created, hybrid position starting part-time, (20 hrs per week); it is our intention to fund a full time role within 6 months.
Tactical oversight of a digital platform designed to promote community interaction and engagement.
Designing online content and programming, ideally suited to engage a global community of Transitioners (mid-late-stage career individuals and self-described retirees).
Event planning and production, including demonstrated success designing and managing event logistics.
Marketing through online/social media as well as traditional channels.
Proven experience in volunteer management and supervising teams or programs.
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences confidently.
Demonstrated success in program development, project management, and marketing strategies.
High level of proficiency with technology tools including, MS Office, Google Analytics, Typeform, MailChimp, ZOOM
Strong written and verbal communication skills, combined with a collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset, are essential.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $28.00-$35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 per week
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Toronto, ON (Toronto District)
