About the Role

The ACT team are a cohesive, responsive team with outside the square thinking. Providing support to Tangata Whaiora who present with complexity that requires an intensive and flexible approach, the ACT team work collaboratively across a number of services to ensure wrap around support that meets Tangata Whaiora and whanau needs. The multidisciplinary team values the skills the varying disciplines bring and caseloads are indicative and fluid in relation to the complexity of the care required at any given time.

We provide a 7 day a week service, inclusive of public holidays (08:00 to 16:30hrs) and also provides early evening on-call (Monday to Friday 16:30 to 20:30hrs). The support worker role is Monday to Friday 0800 to 1630hrs.

The mental health and addictions service deliver a variety of services across the Waikato region. We are a service undertaking a huge programme of change to deliver better outcomes to tāngata whai ora and whānau in our region. About you

A commitment to manaakitanga, whanaungatanga, and person-centred practice
The ability to build and maintain trusting relationships with tangata whaiora and whānau
Confidence in providing practical, hands-on support in community settings
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with others
Good judgement, reliability, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
A current full NZ drivers license.
Experience in mental health, addiction, or community support is valued, but equally important is your attitude, willingness to learn, and alignment with recovery-focused practice.
