Job description

We’re recruiting a Company Accountant for a UK-based site within a long-standing industrial business. The site operates independently with the feel of an SME, while benefiting from the backing and structure of a larger group.

This is a broad, end-to-end finance role, working closely with local management and reporting into a regional finance lead. It covers everything from financial reporting and controls to compliance and day-to-day operations – well suited to someone who enjoys taking full ownership of the finance function

Core duties include:

• Ownership of site finance operations, including monthly management accounts, year-end close, forecasting and budgeting

• Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit standards, and statutory requirements (including VAT and tax)

• Maintain fixed asset register, oversee capital expenditure and support cashflow management

• Liaise with shared service teams on AP, AR and expense processing

• Handle intercompany reporting, reconciliations and queries

• Support the site’s senior management team with financial insight and cost control

What are looking for:

• Qualified or qualified by experience accountant

• Good excel skills

• Ideally experience working in a manufacturing or engineering business

• Solid communicator able to work closely with operational stakeholders

Salary: £50,000 – £55,000
