Job Description
We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced Company Driver to join our team. As a Company Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials to various locations. Your main duties will include driving company vehicles, loading and unloading cargo, and ensuring the timely delivery of goods.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate company vehicles to transport goods and materials to designated locations
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring that it is properly secured and protected during transit
- Plan and follow the most efficient routes to ensure timely delivery of goods
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations to maintain a safe driving record
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance, reporting any issues or concerns to the appropriate department
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents or accidents that occur
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members to coordinate delivery schedules and address any changes or issues that may arise
- Provide excellent customer service, ensuring that goods are delivered in a professional and courteous manner
- Assist with the loading and unloading of goods at customer locations, as needed
- Follow all company policies and procedures, including those related to safety and security
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a Company Driver or similar role
- Excellent knowledge of traffic laws and regulations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical stamina to lift and move heavy cargo
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent
