Key Responsibilities:

Core:

1.Legal Operations, Statutory Compliance & Risk Mitigation:

Ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory statutes mainly focusing into the laws governing the business operation of the Company e.g., corporate laws, The Competition Law, legal metrology (packaged commodities), Data Protection, Labour laws, Waste Management, BIS, DGFT, IPR, CDSO and applicable rules and regulations for India.

Engaging and building collaborative relationship with external and internal peers. Liaising with govt. offices, regulatory bodies, consultants and attending seminars/conferences related to current developments in the industry.

Forecasting & analyzing business risks and suggesting to Management about precautionary measures. Maintaining compliance Calander and ensuring the compliance at organization level.

Review of Peer Industry standards, SOPs related to the legal stands for disputed matters.

2. Legal Advisory & drafting: Drafting and negotiating of contractual documents for accuracy, compliance, commercials with tax laws or regulations, internal policies and company team objectives prior to signature execution and acceptance.

3. Direct / Indirect Tax Litigation and compliance Management: Direct Tax (mainly Transfer pricing) & Indirect Tax (mainly Customs, GST). Also includes working with Tax/Law consultants for legal opinion, handling, and risk mitigations etc. to have winning strategies at ITAT, CESTAT, High court & Supreme court,

Strategizing litigations and analysis of the applicable case laws/precedents.

4. Company Secretarial Operations:

Ensuring Compliance under provisions Companies Act 2013 incl. conducting General / Board / Executive Meetings with issuance of notices, drafting agenda, recording Minutes, passing resolutions and filing of applicable MCA forms.
