Description
As a Competence Assessment Advisor you will apply your exceptional organisational skills and clear, concise communication to support and advise participants in the competence assessment process. You will play a crucial role in supporting and encouraging all engineers, Emerging Professionals and Members, to gain recognition through the Engineering New Zealand competence assessment process.
Main duties will involve:
• Responding to queries from engineers regarding the assessment process and/or their applications.
• Verifying assessments and providing feedback to applicants.
• Coordinating assessment panels.
• Participating in seminars and presentations to explain the assessment framework.
• Providing administration support for the Competency Assessment Board.
Ngā tino Pūkenga/Whēako – Desired skills and experience:
• Confidence to address difficult queries while staying composed and diffusing challenging situations.
• Strong verbal and written communicator with excellent presentation, relationship management and influencing skills.
• Experienced in analysing complex issues and providing concise, balanced advice.
• Highly organised and able to manage multiple concurrent tasks.
• A tertiary qualification in a relevant area, or equivalent proven experience.
• Knowledge of engineering and technology and/or previous experience working in a similar environment, would be advantageous.
